And we’re back with part 2 of Andrea & Mario’s, November 2009 Nashville wedding and kicking off the details of their gorgeously elegant reception at Union Station. Once again the stunning photography is by the super fun husband and wife team of Chris & Adrienne Scott.

Perhaps on of my favorite aspects of this wedding were the colors and the way they were used throughout with the navy and champagne linens by Connie Duglin Linens. We chose an eyelash pin-tuck for the tables and navy satin for the runners and cake table and high-boy table linens. We chose a mix of round tables and rectangular tables to work with the shape and flow of the room as well as to provide more visual interest. The floral design was by Brocade Designs and consisted of low centerpieces on the rectangular tables with white hydrangea, pale pink roses, and ivy. Between them along the runner sat small square vases with pink roses and dahlias. The round tables had a larger arrangement of white hydrangea, white Asiatic lilies and pale pink roses and lots and lots of votives to provide warm ambient light. The table numbers, and a custom seating chart were also made by Hillary with Brocade Designs.

The cake was designed by Dessert Designs by Leland and I can’t even explain how delicious it was! The layers were separated by more white and pink hydrangea and green hypericum berries. And how insanely cute are the little bird cake toppers!

At the end of the evening the couple made a grand exit while their guests waved sparklers (looked very cool! however I was a wee bit scared of drunken guests waving fire around) and then left very early the next morning for their honeymoon in Hawaii! I loved working with this couple and we had a wonderful time bringing to life all their ideas for a classic but contemporary wedding, and I especially liked them because they are huge Bruce Springsteen fans like myself.
I’d like to thank all the vendors mentioned here as well as the staff at Union Station, videographers, Elegant Productions, pianist Scott Hallgren, Prime Source Entertainment, musician David St. Romain and his band for the rocking reception music. Everyone was very professional and great to work with! And again, thank you to Chris & Adrienne Scott Photographers, for taking such lovely photos!
Stay tuned for more from Andrea & Mario’s wedding weekend as we didn’t just plan their wedding, we also planned a crazy country themed rehearsal dinner!
